Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum
Hong Kong's correctional system has a history of more than 170 years. During the period, Hong Kong's economic, political, judicial and social conditions have changed at different stages, and the correctional system has undergone many reforms before it has developed to its present state. This process of evolution is indeed an important part of Hong Kong's history. The two-storey museum is located on the side of the playground of the Staff Training Institute of the Stanley Correctional Services Department. It covers an area of about 480 square meters and has a collection of more than 600 items. There are ten exhibition rooms, a mock gallows and two mock prison cells. At the top of the museum, there is a simulated prison observation tower to highlight the theme of the museum.......
