Introduction
Chai Wan Park opened on April 21, 1993. The park covers an area of about 7.13 hectares. The predecessor of Chai Wan Park was the Hong Kong Scout Camp built in 1925. In the 1980s, the Hong Kong government leveled the hill (Boyjun Hill) in the camp and carried out reclamation projects to build Chai Wan Park. The park is equipped with hard-surface small football fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, small outdoor theaters, children's playgrounds, model boat pools, artificial waterfalls, fountains, lotus ponds, stepped gardens, mountain parks, snack pavilions and other facilities.
