Introduction
Batumalai Sri Subramaniar Swamy Devasthanam (Malay: Batumalai Sri Subramaniar Swamy Devasthanam) is a limestone hill with a series of caves and temples located in El Mark County, Selangor, 13 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The name "Batu" comes from the Batu River beside the hill, and Batu Caves are also the name of the local village. Batu Caves is one of the famous Hindu sacred places outside India. It is the worship room Jianduo, and it is the center of Malaysia's Thaipusam festival celebrations.
