Introduction
The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK/OU), formerly known as The Open Educational Institute of Hong Kong, is a statutory university located in Ho Man Tin, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The university was established by the Hong Kong government in 1989. Its headquarters is composed of five colleges, namely the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Management, the School of Technology, the School of Nursing and Health, and the School of Education and Languages.
The academic qualifications awarded by universities to the degree of bachelor's degree and advanced studies are all recognized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
