Introduction

Before the revitalization, the original site of PMQ Yuan Chuangfang was a married police dormitory built in 1951. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced in November 2010 that the original site will be transformed into an iconic creative center; the right to operate will be granted to a non-profit social enterprise established by Tongxin Education and Culture Charity Foundation Co., Ltd. ("Tongxin Fund")-Yuanchuangfang Management Co., Ltd. The company (PMQ Management Co. Ltd), in conjunction with the Hong Kong Design Center, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Hong Kong Design Institute under the Vocational Training Council, revitalized this project.

Accessibility description

PMQ has a number of barrier-free facilities, including lifts, accessible toilets and ramps on uneven places, and some locations are equipped with lift assistance, which meets the needs of wheelchair users.

FG Tips

All areas are very wide. There are multiple elevator platforms on each floor. All shops can directly enter wheelchairs. Some uneven places are equipped with elevator platforms. The management office can find staff to open them if necessary.

There are steep and uneven slopes along the road. It is recommended to go directly by car or bus No. 26.
