Introduction
Luban Xianshi Temple is the only temple in Hong Kong dedicated to the "Master of Hundred Craftsmen" Luban Xianshi. According to the stone carvings in the temple, the temple was built in 1884 by the three trades (carpentry, paint, mud and water) in Hong Kong at that time. The faithful who came to worship were mainly engaged in the construction industry. They prayed for Luban's blessing and blessed the work to be safe and smooth. The birthday of Master Luban on June 13th of the lunar calendar is the most prosperous day of the temple's incense. The Luban Xianshi Temple is a two-entry building. The roof is made of wood and covered with tiles. The temple has rich architectural decorations, including: murals, Shiwan pottery and clay sculptures.
