A care home near Swadlincote has 18 jobs on offer, from nurses to healthcare assistants, both full and part time.
Newlands House, which is a Leonard Cheshire home housing 35 people with physical disabilities, surrounded by beautiful parkland.
Situated in the picturesque village of Netherseal, Newlands House is a safe and friendly place to live, with high quality care and nursing delivered by a dedicated and experienced team.
The staff are particularly knowledgeable in supporting people with epilepsy and cerebral palsy, offering all its residents everything they need to live a healthy, active and independent lifestyle.
So if you are an experienced healthcare worker or just feel that now is time for a change, a role at Newlands House could be for you.
The roles will be on a shift pattern, covering 24 hours a day, seven days a week and you'll be providing support and personal care to the adults who have made Newlands House their home, from feeding to giving medication.
No previous experience is necessary although you will need a caring nature and the right attitude, and full training will be given by Leonard Cheshire's specialist learning and development team. You will also be required to undertake a full DBS check.
Support workers at Newlands always double up so you would never be left alone and you'll be given full support from day one with a mentor to whom you can always go for advice and help.
Life for the adults at the home is varied, with individual and group activities on offer from playing dominoes with friends, gardening or using a computer. Whether they want to keep fit or be creative, there's always something to get involved in.
Newlands House offers day care, physiotherapy, a conservatory, it's close to shops and public transport, with full wheelchair access, gardens for residents and even a residents' kitchenette. Residents also have a TV point in their own room so it really is home from home.
Staff at Leonard Cheshire receive ongoing training and development to build skills, experience and career.
